How MrBeast became the most popular YouTuber

We know him as, MrBeast but he started as Jimmy Donaldson at 13 years old posting gameplay footage of popular video games like, Minecraft and Call of Duty.

It wasn’t overnight success but with time, hard work and consistency he became YouTube royalty, now being the most subscribed YouTuber of all time, with 308 million subscribers.

 

The Evolution of MrBeast content

The evolution of MrBeast’s content from general gameplay to ground-breaking stunts and philanthropy-driven videos did not happen overnight. For years, his channel saw modest growth as he experimented with different types of content.

In 2017 he hit a goldmine with his first viral video, the video features him counting to 100,000 which took 40 hours and was condensed to 24 hours for the video. This seemingly mundane activity captured the attention of millions and marked the beginning of his ascent.

From here the production only grew as he became known for his elaborate challenges, giveaways and philanthropic efforts. His content often features him giving away large cash prizes to participants, fans and friends as well as having a high budget for production.

Another of MrBeast’s achievements was his recreation of Squid Games video.

This became his most watched with 606 million views, it cost him $3 million to produce and the winner was offered £456,000 as a prize.

The video was current and highlighted Mr Beast’s commitment to high quality content, a recipe for a viral sensation.

MrBeast is also known for his philanthropic ventures which he shows in his content. His #TeamTrees campaign was a raving success. The commitment which solidified his popularity and captured the interest of a global audience.
