BNY Mellon CEO Charles Scharf has been named the new Wells Fargo CEO.

This follows Tim Sloan's departure from the role. Thomas Gibbons, current CFO at BNY Mellon, will serve as the interim BNY Mellon CEO. CNBC's Wilfred Frost reports.
