Former prime minister’s son Euan Blair is rapidly heading towards billionaire status after the tech business he founded six years ago was valued at £1.35 billion.

Blair’s EdTech company Multiverse, which he co-founded in 2016 with friend Sophie Adelman, is a platform designed for training and apprenticeship programmes. Recently, the company closed a new £175 million funding round which saw its previous valuation of £700 million double.

The company's mission is to encourage students to take on apprenticeships instead of university studies. The business proved especially popular over the Covid-19 pandemic as lockdowns and the Great Resignation encouraged people to re-skill, change careers, and test out a new mode of education in place of the more traditional path that university presents.

Last week, 38-year-old Blair was awarded an MBE for services to education as part of the Queen’s birthday honours list.
