Capgemini Announces Strategic Leadership Appointments to Drive Innovation and Growth

Capgemini has announced several significant leadership appointments designed to advance its growth strategy and reinforce its position as a leader in global technology and business solutions. These changes, aimed at bolstering Capgemini’s market presence and client offerings, include the elevation of key leaders in the Americas, Financial Services, Revenue Operations, and Technology sectors. Capgemini’s strategic appointments mark a renewed commitment to digital transformation, innovation, and client satisfaction across industries and regions.

Starting November 1, 2024, Anirban Bose will assume the role of CEO of Capgemini’s Americas Strategic Business Unit. This change follows the tenure of Jim Bailey, who has successfully led the region’s growth for the past four years. Known for his role in expanding Capgemini’s Financial Services sector globally, Bose brings a strong strategic vision to his new role, with a focus on accelerating the company’s growth in the Americas. His experience in handling complex global markets makes him exceptionally well-suited to build upon the foundation laid by Bailey.

In tandem with Bose’s promotion, Kartik Ramakrishnan will become CEO of Capgemini’s Financial Services Strategic Business Unit. Ramakrishnan’s expertise in managing Capgemini’s Banking sector over the last six years positions him as a natural successor. Under his leadership, Capgemini’s Financial Services sector is expected to continue its global growth trajectory and capitalize on new opportunities across markets.

In addition, Jerome Simeon will step into the newly created role of Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) on January 1, 2025. As CRO, Simeon will oversee Capgemini’s sales, key client relationships, and industry strategies to deepen client value and strengthen Capgemini’s competitive edge. His extensive background in managing large, complex business units within Capgemini uniquely equips him for this role, which will further align sales and client-focused initiatives.

Simeon’s path to the CRO role reflects a deep and accomplished history within Capgemini, showcasing his expertise across multiple high-level roles and regions. Currently, he serves as Head of Global Industries, a position he took on in 2023, having been a member of the Group Executive Board since 2021. Prior to this, he was the CEO of Capgemini’s Southern Europe Strategic Business Unit and served as Managing Director of Capgemini in France from 2018 to 2020. During his tenure in France, Simeon joined the Group Executive Committee, reflecting his strategic influence on Capgemini’s business operations.

Simeon’s journey with Capgemini began in 1998, bringing with him a unique blend of commercial and operational experience. By 2014, he had advanced to CEO of Application Services France, following his role as Commercial Director from 2012 to 2014. Before that, he held key commercial roles within Capgemini’s Telecom & Media business from 2007 to 2010, after managing development and sales for BT Global Services' Property & Services Europe sector for two years. Before joining Capgemini, he spent eight years with Générale des Eaux/Vivendi. Simeon is a graduate of the Toulouse Business School, and his extensive career at Capgemini highlights his capability in fostering growth, driving innovation, and navigating complex markets.

Also effective January 1, Franck Greverie will assume the role of Chief Technology Officer (CTO). With technology playing an increasingly critical role in shaping client success, Greverie’s expertise will focus on driving Capgemini’s technology strategy, with an emphasis on innovation, industry relevance, and operational efficiency. This appointment underscores Capgemini’s focus on future-ready digital solutions and technological leadership.

Meanwhile, Chief Operating Officer Olivier Sevillia will be leaving Capgemini at the end of 2024, concluding an impressive 34-year tenure. Sevillia’s impact on Capgemini has been profound, with his role in strengthening the company’s operational strategy and digital transformation efforts. As he embarks on new ventures, Sevillia aims to contribute to the growth of Europe’s techno-business ecosystem, supporting competitive advancement for regional businesses. Capgemini has expressed its full support for Sevillia in his future endeavors.

These strategic appointments illustrate Capgemini’s commitment to its growth trajectory, fostering both continuity and innovation. Capgemini Group CEO Aiman Ezzat emphasized the importance of each leader’s contribution to the company’s future, stating that the leadership team is aligned with Capgemini’s goal of deepening its value for clients and enhancing its market-leading capabilities. Ezzat noted Bose’s readiness to lead in the Americas, Ramakrishnan’s continuity in Financial Services, and Simeon’s client-focused expertise as pivotal assets in supporting Capgemini’s vision.

These leadership changes reflect Capgemini’s proactive approach in addressing the evolving needs of the digital economy, aligning with its mission to empower client transformation and achieve sustained growth. As Capgemini navigates new challenges and opportunities, its bolstered leadership team is well-positioned to drive client success and foster innovation in the global technology landscape.
