What Is the Mission of DOGE?
DOGE was established to enhance government efficiency by eliminating wasteful expenditures and restructuring federal agencies. Under Musk's leadership, the department implemented significant reforms, including mass layoffs across various agencies and efforts to privatize certain government functions.
During Elon Musk's time in DOGE there have been tens of thousands of workers fired or who have agreed to leave their jobs, once there were 2.3 federal workers. Reports from Sky News tells us that a number of lawsuits were filed in state and federal courts over these cuts as well as mass criticism towards members of DOGE including some as severe as death threats.
Conclusion
Perhaps the Trump administration cannot handle the wide scale criticism they are facing, in particular towards the DOGE. This will not lessen because there is a public hatred of Elon Musk, the business billionaire who managed to slide into a position of greater power in government. If Elon Musk left his position in DOGE he could refocus on his businesses including Tesla which urgently needs a review after this years stock slump.
